How do Antidepressants work?

Communication goals: Antidepressants, SSRIs in particular, are quickly becoming some of the most frequently prescribed drugs. However, patients are often prescribed these drugs with little explanation as to how they work. The purpose of this animation is to help the public understand how drugs like SSRIs affect brain chemistry in order to alleviate mood disorders. Final animation in progress.
